need an ai executive but not ready to hire one fulltime?

We help lsp’s turn AI ambition into measurable results by providing the leadership, guidance, and hands-on execution needed to embed AI across the business & turn your LSP into a lasting language service integrator

who we are

Matt Grotenstein and the team behind LocWorks have spent the last two decades inside localization most well-known organization: on the provider side, the platform side, and the buyer side, helping organizations turn technology into a practical commercial advantage. Through LocWorks, we engages as a fractional AI change agents for language service providers to help them transform into the language service integrators of tomorrow with strategic direction, market-ready deployment, and hands-on execution without the cost or delay of building a full internal AI function..

Our experience spans platform companies, service providers, and the increasingly important space between them. where technology, workflow design, partnerships, and go-to-market strategy meet.

At Acclaro, Matt helped lead the evolution from traditional language service provider to technology-enabled integrator. He built the TMS partnership program with leading platforms, established connectivity and solutions-architecture capabilities, and helped reshape the commercial model beyond legacy per-word pricing. At Smartling, he built enterprise localization technology solutions for global brands. At Crowdin, e2f, Boston AI, and GTE Localize, he supported global brands building complex AI-enabled language solutions.

Today, LocWorks applies that operating experience to AI transformation inside the localization industry. The focus is not AI experimentation. It's identifying the highest-value use cases, connecting the right technology to the right workflows, establishing governance, and creating measurable proof that AI is improving revenue, delivery, customer experience, or operational efficiency.

Matt is also the founder and host of LocReset and co-author of The Global Impact Playbook, a framework for helping organizations mature from reactive translation spend into structured global capability.

what we do

We help language service providers design, deploy, and govern AI tools and strategies that create measurable business value.

LocWorks provides a practical path from AI ambition to operational impact. We work with leadership teams to identify high-value use cases, select and connect the right tools, redesign linguist and project workflows, and establish governance your clients and their security teams ask for.

We combine two decades in localization with SaaS, go-to-market, and hands-on AI implementation experience to help you:

  • Design an AI strategy. Prioritize use cases, define business outcomes, assess risk to client data and quality commitments, and build a clear roadmap across sales, marketing, delivery, and language operations.

  • Deploy AI-powered revenue workflows. Automate account identification, intent monitoring, prospect research, RFP and RFI response, personalized outreach, and sales enablement — while keeping human judgment where deals are won.

  • Scale smarter marketing. Build AI-enabled content systems, improve visibility in LLM-based search, run thought-leadership campaigns, and segment communications so buyers hear something relevant to their program, not your service list.

  • Modernize language operations. Integrate AI into TMS workflows, MT and LLM routing, MTPE and quality estimation, terminology and TM hygiene, vendor management, project delivery, and knowledge management — reducing manual effort while protecting consistency and quality.

  • Establish AI governance. Put policies, approval gates, data controls, model and vendor standards, client disclosure practices, and performance measures in place so your teams can adopt AI with confidence and your clients can sign off on it.

LocWorks helps you move beyond isolated pilots into a governed, scalable AI operating model: one built for how language services actually get sold, produced, and delivered.

“We are being asked to transition to an AI-first model while migrating web properties, and being given zero resources to do it.”
— Director, Global Communication & Design

We focus on three core areas of AI transformation: connectivity, intelligent AI orchestration, and governance, and measurable outcomes.

01  Connectivity

Stop being the vendor at the end of an email thread. We build the integration surface that puts you inside your client’s systems: TMS and CAT environments, MT and LLM providers, client CMS and repositories, PIM, DAM, support platforms. plus the platform partner program that gives you a co-sell motion instead of RFP roulette. We are equally direct about what is not API-first yet: most programs still run partly on file drops and email, and we map what gets connected, replaced, or bridged

Result: You become infrastructure rather than a line item, and revenue turns recurring and volume-elastic instead of project-lumpy.

02  AI Orchestration & HITL Governance

Saying you use AI is table stakes with no proof attached. We design the layer that makes machine output defensible to a client’s legal and security teams, not just persuasive to a prospect: engine routing by content type and language pair, quality estimation and sampling, MTPE and approval thresholds, terminology and style standards, data-access and training-exclusion rules, and audit trails. Your linguists stop being throughput and become quality engineers and risk officers.

Result: You have a consistent answer to the question every enterprise buyer now asks — what touched my content, and where did it go — and this is where the margin lives.

03  Outcomes

Integrators get paid for results, not effort. We rebuild the commercial model and rewire reporting to the metrics your clients’ executives already track: speed to market, on-time delivery, quality performance, cost per program, retention and expansion, gross margin per account. Then we install the review cadence and the business-case language your team needs above the procurement line, including the case you make when AI changes what you charge and how you charge for it.

Result: Renewal conversations stop being rate negotiations, and AI reads as a driver of business value rather than a technology expense.
